Bay City Diner At The “Golden Gate”
Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10:36AM Inside the “Golden Gate” downtown is a very good diner called the Bay City Diner or Du Pars which is the family that owns the diner. The food here is really good value for the money and the fresh pies are amazing with quick and, friendly service. The room is pleasant with a long diner counter with a stainless steel kitchen area behind the counter and dark wood booths with red vinyl seats along the other side of the room and at the back of the restaurant. Breakfast here is real good with several items served twenty four hours a day. On my last visit I had corned beef which wasn’t as good as in the past as it crumbled as I tried to pick it up but was still tasty; the corned beef also came with eggs, hash browns and toast which were all good. I try to visit this place at least once on a trip and if you are downtown and hungry it’s a good bet.
