“Las Vegas Club” Update

It seems the “Las Vegas Club” hotel is mainly closed right now and when I tried to check reservations nothing comes up. There were reports that the hotel is open for the big game and, also the occasional weekend but either way it seems as room rates there fell to less than $20 a night at times and with their remodeled sister property the “Plaza” across the street now open it seems a good time to take those rooms offline. This seems a smart move in the current climate and the rooms at the “Las Vegas Club” can be used as overflow as needed during peak times using “Plaza” staff. The temporary bingo room with the plywood walls has also closed and returned back to the “Plaza” which wasn’t really a surprise. Hopefully reports that the owners want to remodel the “Las Vegas Club” and turn it in to a boutique style hotel come true as the location at the top of the Fremont Street Experience is a perfect location.

Late Check Out Possible For A Fee

If you have to catch a later in the day flight or like to sleep in late after partying the night before there often is a way to check out late. Checking out later was often available at most properties by just calling the front desk and asking which they would often allow if the hotel wasn't too busy the next night. Most people didn't know about this option but now lots of hotels advertise the fact for a fee. "Luxor" i remember was one of the first that really pushed this option but its also available at places such as the "Las Vegas Club" which charges $20 to check out at 6pm subject to availability. I don't have an issue with them charging a small fee for this as means the room isnt available to much later in the day. To see if its available during your stay at the "Las Vegas Club" or any hotel contact the front desk of that property.

Hotel Stay Review: "Las Vegas Club"

I stayed recently for two days at the "Las Vegas Club" and after reading some not great reviews online i was a little nervous but here is my experiance. I checked in about 6pm and there was no lines at the check in desk which is at the back of the property away from Fremont Street. The person checking me in was new but someone was there training her and the check in procedure didn't take too long. I was put in the south tower which only has two elevators for 16 floors one of which was broken and never fixed during my whole stay; Because of this there was quite a wait for the elevator which also happened everytime i needed to use it. Everyone i met made comments about the elevator situation but then usually followed it up with the room was cheap. Walking to my room yes there was a slight smell that other people have noted but its a really old property and wasn't strong. I was pleasantly surprised with the room which was basic but clean and the carpet looked new. The television was small and older but worked fine although one door on the cabinet wouldn't stay fully open. As i said the room was basic so no coffeemaker or room safe but there was a iron and ironing board but no guest book so i guess you have to figure out about the property and restaurants etc by yourself. There was a table with chairs although the chairs were stained so i avoided them but the small bathroom and sink area was spotless. The view from my hotel room was a roof a parking structure and the hotel air conditioning system which was noisey but didn't but bug me. If you are a light sleeper this tower is noisey because of Fremont Street being so close and also the pre mentioned air conditioning units arn't the most quiet so you may want to take that in mind. I can see how people used to staying on the strip may have trouble with the "Las Vegas Club" its a basic room and you get value for your money but it not for everyone but i would stay again.

Las Vegas Club Toiletries

Picture of the toileteries at the "Las Vegas Club" which is a basic but does include the "Plaza" logo as well as both properties are owned by the same owner. The soap is a little coarse but okay and also includes body lotion and the ever scary shampoo/conditioner combination. I prefer a seperate shampoo and, conditioner as a combination seems a compromise and may not work as well.
