Main Street Station is located a block off Fremont Street and started life as club where you could listen to different types of music on stages located around what is now the casino; The building is beautiful and with high cellings something not common downtown so it helps with the cigarette smoke. After the club failed it was picked up by Boyd Gaming who owns the California across the street and the two properties are linked with an overhead walkway. Other than a nice casino the property also the best buffet downtown which is very good value for money; The buffet used to be one of the two best in town but others have since gone for more expensive ingredients and a higher price. The "Main Street Station"also has the 777 brewpub one of the best if not best in town with great food as well as good beer. The rooms are basic but well appointed although if you are a light sleeper you might want to request a room away from the freeway which is next to the property im from Southern California so traffic noise doesn't bother me but it may bother some people.
