H & M Store At The Forum Shops

Las Vegas is now a huge shopping Mecca and one of the draws is the huge 55,000 square foot H&M store located in the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. If you are not familiar with the store its part of a chain who's actual name is Hennes & Mauritz and is known for inexpensive ladies clothing. The location at the Forum Shops is the largest in the United States but there are also two smaller locations in Las Vegas. So if you need an outfit for your night on the town in Las Vegas you might want to check this place out.

Hours: opens at 10am daily

Location: 3500 Las Vegas Blvd South

If you are visiting Las Vegas before June and Celine Dion’s planned return from her illness and are looking for another option to her show Elton John at Caesar’s could be a good choice. Elton John returns for more shows as part of his “Caesar’s Palace” residency with shows on April 13th to 19th and, then he returns again from May 4th to 27th

Celine Dion To Return In June

The very popular Celine Dion is scheduled at the moment for a June 9th return to her show at “Caesar’s Palace” after recovering from her vocal cord problems. Celine Dion was sidelined from her show by a virus which affected her vocal cords and she was ordered by her doctor to rest them. Because of her illness she was forced to cancel shows from the end of February as well as March and then April but I’m sure when she does return her fans will be out in force. Here at Las Vegas Inside Out we’re not big Celine fans as we still have the Titanic movie theme running through are heads but Celine does put on a great show and, is good for Las Vegas.

Cee Lo Green Residency In LV?

The above video is of Cee Lo Green's music video for 'I want you' in which he performs in a Liberace outfit at "Ceasar's Palace." Cee Lo who recently performed at the big games half time show with Madonna and can be seen on NBC's 'The Voice' as a judge is now rumored for a Las Vegas residency. The residency would most likely be a Liberace tribute at "Caesar's Palace" which is the theme for this video. It will be interesting to see if Cee Lo sets up fall time in Las Vegas our guess is a series of concerts first to see how they are recieved.

Gordon Ramsey’s Steak Update

As we reported before the new steakhouse by celebrity television chef Gordon Ramsey is set to open this spring at “Paris” Las Vegas. Now some facts about the restaurant which is slated to open in the recently closed Les Artises Steakhouse the restaurant will seat approximately 270 and will most likely include a chefs table. The chefs table is a table in the kitchen where some guests can watch food being prepared and is a feature of his television show ‘Hell’s Kitchen.’ The restaurant may have a London, England theme which is strange for a resort with a Paris, France theme but it is Las Vegas so I guess anything is possible. The restaurant design is being done by EDG Interior Architecture who has done the interior design for such restaurants as Bradley Ogden at “Caesars Palace.” Once the new restaurant is open I’m sure they will film there for his FOX show ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and I can see the prize of executive chef at the restaurant being off offered in the show.

Octavius Tower Preview Video

The new Octavius Tower at "Caesars Palace" is due to open on January 2nd and above is the new preview video of the tower. A lot of the video is just the basic "Caesars Palace" promo information but it does show what the rooms look like in the new tower as well as some of the electronic stuff in the room.

Bradley Ogden Book Signing Today

If you are in Las Vegas today and a fan of celebrity chefs you may want to stop by "Caesars Palace" and Bradley Ogdens eponymous restaurant to meet the famous chef today at 5pm. Bradley Ogden will be at the restaurant signing his new cook book there called 'Holiday Dinners with Bradley Ogden' which should get some good sized crowds.

Resort Jobs Not Coming Back Soon

Since the recession started few places were hit as bad as Las Vegas with the huge collapse in real estate there as well as the drop in visitor spending since the downturn. The hotel resorts have laid off thousands of employees and this started before the downturn as the casino’s used technology to get rid of positions such as people in change booths or change runners. The companies are also trying to use technology such as mini roulette which only uses one employee instead of several and slot point’s redemption machines which will cut down people in the slot club desks. I don’t see the casino companies slowing down on using technology to replace employees where possible these jobs won’t return. In recent week there has been a lot of press about the “Plaza” reopening with 800 new jobs and the Octavuis Tower opening at “Caesars Palace” but that won’t take up the slack for the thousands laid off before. The “Plaza” reopening is good for downtown and the city but you have to remember when it closed to remodel the employees were laid off as well as the employees in the “Lady Luck”,“Binion’s” hotel the “Sahara” and this week the loss of up to 90 jobs at the “Western.” Las Vegas will come back it always does but it could take longer that the rest of the country, time will tell on that note.

Caesars To Open Octavius Tower Early In 2012

With all the stalled resorts projects in Las Vegas it’s nice to see that “Caesars Palace” is set to open its Octavius Tower on January 2nd of the New Year which will be a needed boost to the job market in Las Vegas. The Octavius Tower frame was finished at the height of the economy collapse but the inside wasn’t fitting out as a cost saving move and not to add more rooms on the market at a time there wasn’t a demand for. Recently the construction has restarted in fitting out the inside of the hotel tower with beds, bathroom fixtures and televisions etc. all ready for guests in the New Year. The hotel is set to hire 450 people in front of the house as well as back of the house in such positions as hotel operations, guest services and VIP services although some positions maybe in other parts of Caesars Palace as some existing employees will work at the new tower. The new Octavuis Tower is going to add 668 rooms to the property which will bring “Caesars Palace’s” total to 3,960 of various sizes and types.

The Tower Of Fish Coming Next Summer

This seems a strange move but "Caesars Palace" has announced that its rebranding of its Centurion Tower to a Nobu themed hotel will open next summer. Nobu is known for its namesake high end sushi restaurants but also opperates other restaurant brands but this will be their first hotel property anywhere. Rebranding or opening part of a hotel resort under a different name isnt unknown with "The Hotel" at "Mandalay Bay" as the most obvious example just the choice of Nobu seems a little unusual. The rooms are being remodelled at the moment and im sure the new hotel won't fit in to the Roman theme as the rest of the property but as Las Vegas resorts have backed away from themes im sure it won't matter. I'm sure this is a good deal for "Caesars Palace" as they get the older rooms in the Centurion Tower remodelled but we will have to wait to see how well the Nobu themed hotel will do starting next summer.
