With all the stalled resorts projects in Las Vegas it’s nice to see that “Caesars Palace” is set to open its Octavius Tower on January 2nd of the New Year which will be a needed boost to the job market in Las Vegas. The Octavius Tower frame was finished at the height of the economy collapse but the inside wasn’t fitting out as a cost saving move and not to add more rooms on the market at a time there wasn’t a demand for. Recently the construction has restarted in fitting out the inside of the hotel tower with beds, bathroom fixtures and televisions etc. all ready for guests in the New Year. The hotel is set to hire 450 people in front of the house as well as back of the house in such positions as hotel operations, guest services and VIP services although some positions maybe in other parts of Caesars Palace as some existing employees will work at the new tower. The new Octavuis Tower is going to add 668 rooms to the property which will bring “Caesars Palace’s” total to 3,960 of various sizes and types.
