Rockhouse Closed To Make Way For Linq

The bar best known for girls dancing Strip side and shooting water cannons at the crowd 'Rockhouse' has closed to make way for the Linq project. Every week the bar which was located Strip side in the front of the "Imperial Palace" would have a going out of business event and then reopen the next day but this time its closed for good. There have been rumors that the bar would move to a new location such as at the Miracle Mile Shops at "Planet Hollywood" or even the "Venetian" of all places but these seem just rumors. The rumors about 'Rockhouse' moving to "Planet Hollywood" may have started because PBR bar has the same owners and some of 'Rockhouse' employees may end up there. Will the “Rockhouse’ name return as part of Linq or somewhere else, anything is possible but it doesn’t look like it in the near future.

Linq Project Quietly Under Way

The new Linq project which includes bars and restaurants as well as a Ferris wheel in the alleyway between the “Flamingo” and current “Imperial Palace” seems to be well under way. In a city known for big resort implosions it seems the Capri tower at the back of the “Imperial Place” has been taken down piece by piece and is now gone. Next upon the list of things to be down is most like the removal of a parking garage most likely the employee garage at the “Flamingo.” On later stages of the project includes removing “O Shea’s” and redoing the current “Imperial Palace” which will be renamed.

Hash House A Go Go Celebrates 5th

Hash House A Go Go is celebrating its 5th anniversary today of its original Las Vegas location on Sahara with $5 specials at that location. If you haven't eating there before its worth a visit the location in the Imperial Palace is more convenient for visitors. What Hash House A Go Go is famous for is huge portions and, their breakfast especially is worth trying for huge pancakes with such combinations as chocolate and peanut butter. Hash House A Go Go is adding a third Las Vegas location soon at the M Resort which is worth a visit if you are driving in to Las Vegas.

Imperial Palace Location: 2nd floor, take the escalator adjacent to the Ginza Bar in the center of the casino.

Karaoke At Ellis Island

Last week when i visited Las Vegas i also visited Ellis Island an off strip property near Bally's and, noticed their popular Karaoke Lounge was closed. Right now the lounge area is being remodeled and a sign out front said would reopen soon but didn't specify a date. If you are planning to sing or watch here check with Ellis Island or look at other karaoke options such as Imperial Palace.

Harrah's Buffet Of Buffets

Paris Hotel & CasinoHarrah's owners of many of the Strip properties recently came out with an all you can eat buffet deal for seven of its properties; The properties are as follows Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah's, Imperial Palace, Paris, Planet Hollywood and the off strip property Rio. The deal was for $29.99 for a twenty four hour all access pass which is a great deal especially if you can fit four meals in that twenty four hour period. After the deal was announced there was much speculation about how long it would be before Harrah's either raised the price or removed the deal all together. Well about sixteen days later Harrah's raised the price citing long lines and wanting to improve the experience for its customers. Other than weekends at certain locations my opinion is they raised the prices to make more money but either way the new pricing isn't bad just not as generous as before. The new price for a twenty four hour period at all seven locations is $34.99 plus tax if you are a Total Rewards member or $39.99 plus tax for non members. My suggestion is if you aren't a Total Rewards member which is their slot club you sign up for free so you save the five dollars.
