“Las Vegas Hilton” Disappears Today
Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 9:40AM Today the “Las Vegas Hilton” name disappears as the 2,950 room property on Paradise road next to the Las Vegas Convention Center is rebranded as “LVH.” I’m not a fan of the new name which to me sounds like a handbag or perfume line but we will have to see what happens as the fight for control of the property continues. As previously reported the classic “Las Vegas Hilton” sign has been removed as the property has removed all its Hilton branding as there affiliation with that brand has ended. Now that the new “LVH” has lost the Hilton affiliation it means it also has lost the funneling of customers to the property from Hiltons 1-800 number and website as well as their rewards program. Hilton has time share properties in town and it will be interesting to see how long before another big Las Vegas resort property gets rebranded with the Hilton name.
