“Las Vegas Hilton” Disappears Today

Today the “Las Vegas Hilton” name disappears as the 2,950 room property on Paradise road next to the Las Vegas Convention Center is rebranded as “LVH.” I’m not a fan of the new name which to me sounds like a handbag or perfume line but we will have to see what happens as the fight for control of the property continues. As previously reported the classic “Las Vegas Hilton” sign has been removed as the property has removed all its Hilton branding as there affiliation with that brand has ended. Now that the new “LVH” has lost the Hilton affiliation it means it also has lost the funneling of customers to the property from Hiltons 1-800 number and website as well as their rewards program. Hilton has time share properties in town and it will be interesting to see how long before another big Las Vegas resort property gets rebranded with the Hilton name.

LVH What The Heck?

The home of Elvis the International which has been the "Las Vegas Hilton" for years since it was a Hilton property is being renamed to LVH which has to be the worst name of a Las Vegas resort ever. The name is being changed as the licensing agreement for the Hilton name is coming to an end this follows the change of the Atlantic City Hilton to the ACH name which is maybe even a worse name. The LVH name to me sounds like the name of a handbag or perfume and its a shame its going to be on this storied property. The property like many older properties in Las Vegas is struggling and maybe if ownership changed they would decide on a new name.

"Las Vegas Hilton's" Happy Hour

The "Las Vegas Hilton" is a block off the strip near the convention center and is a huge hotel that used to be called The International years ago which was were Elvis Presley used to perform. The hotel also has a pretty large pool area on the roof which opened March 22nd for the summer season. The pool area also has good happy hour specials between 4-8pm every night. The specials are 2 for 1 drinks, $2 shrimp cocktails and $3 cerviche and admission is free.

"Las Vegas Hilton" Gets In New Years Spirit

New Years in Las Vegas is a lot of fun as the city turns in to one big party its crazy often weird and can be expensive but a lot of fun. This is the most expensive time of the year to visit Las Vegas with high room rates and often minimum nights stay but this year is cheaper than years past. A staple of New Years in Las Vegas is the New Years Balls which are huge dance parties often with celebrity guests and or music performances as part of the ticket price. This year we have a new entrant to the New Year's party scene with the Las Vegas Hilton holding its 1st Annual New Years Party in its ballroom with a very reasonable price of $29 per ticket plus service fee. This party is advertised as a old school party and is presented by local radio station 105.7 The Oasis. The ticket price includes party favors and a champagne toast at midnight and dinner packages are available. If you are looking for a less expensive New Years party this might be a good option the doors open at 9pm on New Years Eve and the party starts at 10:00pm if you want to book tickets or for more information click the website link below.
