Above is a clip of impressionist Gordie Brown when he was on the David Letterman he currently can be seen as an ongoing entertainer at the "Golden Nugget" downtown. As you can see from the clip he may not be the best impressionist in town but his show is entertaining and not that expensive as Las Vegas shows go with packages from $34.99 including dinner per person.

The show is called "Country Superstars Tribute" and is playing at the "Golden Nugget" downtown on Fremont Street. The show has tribute artists performing as some of the most popular names in country music with a live band and from the clips i have seen of the show and early reviews from people that have seen it might be worth checking out. Dinner and show packages start from $34.99 per person plus tax so contact the "Golden Nugget" shows and tour desks or call 1-866-946-5336 for tickets.

I'm not a Lady Gaga fan but i have seen the show and generally the impersonators are pretty good and, at the $39.99 ticket price the show is a bargain. The Elvis and Micheal Jackson impersonators seem a staple of this show and are very good.

The PBR bar is your now familiar with the name is named after the Professional Bull Riders those crazy people that strap themselves to the backs of cranky bulls, not something i follow but does have a big group of fans; Well anyway the location is perfect at Planet Hollywood with a big patio that juts out towards the strip which makes it a good place to people watch. The bar itself has 115 hd televsions to watch bull riding or any other sports an being close to Planet Hollywood's sports book you can also place bets there. The PBR bar also sells good food which isnt inexpensive because of its prime strip location but is a good value. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and a big plus for me is they serve breakfast all day. During the late night hours they also have djs which i didn't check out o my last trip but will do on my next one.

One place that has consistently had afternoon shows is Harrah's especially with its long running The Mac King Comedy Magic Show. Afternoon shows in general have less risqué material and, are on a smaller scale than night shows but still entertaining at a much lower price. Just about every day outside Harrah's there is someone handing out tickets for the show that admit two people for free although a $9.95 drink is required per person so if you have just the one drink its a big bargain. For another $5 person you receive a vip line pass and vip seating as well as a 2 for 1 buffet coupon (Harrah's buffet isn't bad so a good deal). I saw the show several years ago and is worth seeing and a bargain considering most night shows can cost close to $100 per ticket.

Show Times: Tuesday through Saturday at 1pm and 3pm

Seating: Begins 45 mins before show time and is limited

This show as the title says is a female impersonators show with men in drag performing as famous females singers and entertainers. Frank Marino has been a Las Vegas staple for many years performing in such shows as "La Cage" which was a staple at the Rivera for 24 years. Frank Marino is the host of the show and plays Joan Rivers and then the entertainers perform as artists such as Cher and Tina Turner. This show may not be for everyone but the people i have know that have seen it have enjoyed it. Tickets start at $39 for the Mezzanine but this show often has discount tickets in the free magazines in hotels or racks or are handed out by Harrah's employees around the Imperial Palace or Harrahs.

There used to be two agencies on the strip but now Tix 4 Tonight has pretty much taken over with numerous locations. Basically Tix 4 Tonight resells unsold tickets for shows that day at a discount, the amount of the discount can vary but often up to half off. The shows available often change depending on the day and the hottest show tickets don't always show up but its worth checking out their display boards with whats available. Every day there boards are updated about 9:30am and then most locations open by 10am. If you are staying in a hotel where a show is playing you may also want to check for hotel discounts on the show. Another source for show discounts is the numerous free magazines in hotel lobbies and from street racks. Tix 4 Tonight also sells discount dinners and buffets which may make sense if you are planning to have dinner before or after a show in a hotel but other times i don't plan buffets that far ahead but it may work for you.

Showcase Mall (by Coke bottle), Fashion Show Mall, Hawaiian Marketplace, Bill's Gamblin Hall (formally Barbary Coast), Circus Circus, near Peppermill Restaurant & Bar, Four Queens, Town Square Center, Tuscany Suites, Slots A Fun (Circus Circus parking lot), Tahiti Village

He is called “Big Elvis” because he is a big guy to say the least and has had health issues but I saw him again Friday and he put on another good show. The reason he is so popular is he sounds like Elvis and has a great interaction with the crowd. In 2000 he was voted “Best Elvis Impersonator” and its well deserved and there is no cover charge as it’s a lounge show. As with most lounge shows if you sit down in lounge area you are expected to buy a drink but if you stand outside its free.
