O' Shea's is what they used to call an overflow joint its a small casino that takes pressure off its larger neighbors. The theme of this small busy casino is an Irish theme and a small person can often be seen out front playing a Leprechaun. This is a fun little property that has a great location between the Flamingo and Harrahs and is known for cheap table limits, good drink specials and a inexpensive food court for the area of the strip that its in. THIS PROPERTY CLOSED DOWN APRIL 30TH 2012 TO MAKE WAY FOR THE LINQ PROJECT AND WILL REOPEN LATER AT A NEW LOCATION.

Casino:

The casino is small and noisey with many tables in a small area with slots to the other side and the back of the casino. The casino is known for lower table limits than its more expensive neighbors and good drink specials at its bar with also has beer pong table which are often busy.

Restaurants:

At the back of the property is a small food court with the strips only Burger King, Subway, Just Wingin It, Mama Mia's Pizzeria, Island Teriyaki & Cool Breeze Ice Cream and El Gringo Loco.

Entertainment:

The entertainment at this property is the Dick Arthur magic show with illusions as well as big cats he is a long time staple of the strip and these once common type of show are now rare in Las Vegas. One note about the showroom is that it is small so hopefully the big cats are fed well.

Retail:

The only real retail space here is Vince Neil Ink which is a tatoo parlor owned by Motley Crue frontman and Las Vegas resident Vince Neil.

“O Shea’s” Closed Yesterday

Yesterday “O Shea’s” the long running small Irish themed casino closed its doors for good as it makes way for the Linq project a shopping and entertainment district between the “Flamingo” and the current “Imperial Palace.” “O Shea’s” is due to return in the future a new location in the Linq project but if we had to guess it will be a more upscale version of the property. The popular beer pong area at “O Shea’s” has been moved to the nearby “Bills Gambling Hall and Saloon” as it seems they are positioning that property to attract some of the “O Shea’s” fans at least in the near term. “O Shea’s” was a small crowded property but it had a great deal of fans for things such as low table limits, beer pong, cheap beer and an inexpensive food court and it will be missed; Las Vegas is always changing and the Linq project looks like a plus for the city but it’s a shame to see an inexpensive place like “O Shea’s” closing but there are other inexpensive options nearby such as “Casino Royale,” “Hooters” and “Bills.”

Holly And Beer Pong At "O Shea's"

We posted the above video for two reasons one as a tribute to the soon to close "O Shea's" but more importantly an excuse to show a clip of Holly Madison playing beer pong against Lucky The Leprechaun. Here at Las Vegas Inside Out we are big fans of Holly Madison who is the unofficial Las Vegas spokesperson who can often be seen at events or hanging out around town.
