It seems not a week goes by recently without one Las Vegas resort or another announcing a higher resort fee or parking fee and now added to the list is The Premium Outlets near Downtown Las Vegas. The Premium Outlets if you are not familiar with it is a outdoor mall with name brands at discounted prices in company stores and is popular with residents and tourists alike looking for a deal.
The Premium Outlets will now charge a $5 flat fee for parking in the malls lot at Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Bonneville Avenue. At this time Nevada residents will not be charged the fee and mall employees will have their own parking area which will make more spaces free.
The ongoing rush to add new fees in Las Vegas has started to annoy Las Vegas visitors although as of now it doesn’t seem to have had much effect on visitor numbers to Las Vegas. The problem with all these fees from resort to parking fees is they always begin to creep up in price and today’s $5 parking charge could be $10 to $15 in the future.
