Baseball Returns To Las Vegas

Many visitors to Las Vegas may not know that the city does have a professional baseball team, the Las Vegas 51s a Triple A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. The 5,000 seat stadium near downtown Las Vegas is at Cashman Field with the season opener scheduled for tomorrow with $1 beer night so if you want to get some fresh air and catch a game the gates open at 6pm with the game due to start at 7:05pm. If you cannot make tomorrow’s game there is also a home game on Saturday April 6th with Fireworks followed by a Las Vegas 51s t shirt on Sunday April 7^th for the first 2,500 fans through the gate.

UNLV Softball Games AT Eller Media Stadium

If you need a break from the strip or downtown casinos and want to do something a little different when in town they hold many sporting events at the nearby UNLV. The school is not to far from the strip an easy bus, cab or drive from there to the stadiums. One such inexpensive sport to watch is UNLV rebel softball (the school team is named the Rebels) which plays at Eller Media Stadium. The school is famous for its college basketball team but the softball tickets are inexpensive at only $7 each or free for kids under 12. Tomorrow night at 6pm the team plays BYU and there have a great deal if you wear red the teams color to the stadium with tickets for only $1; The next games are Friday at 6pm against Utah which is a double header as they play Utah again on Saturday at 6pm.
