This Saturday starting at 6pm is an Oktoberfest event sponsored by Sam Adams at the Carnaval Court near the Strip. Carnaval Court is the covered outdoor space between Harrah’s and The Linq Hotel where you can usually see live bands or dj’s as well as flair bartenders. The Sam Adams event is unusual because it has no cover charge like lots of events although buying drinks as you party the night away will add up.

The Linq has started free swim parties at its adults only pool from 8 pm to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. The swim parties will feature things such as two for one drink deals and a recovery zone which is supposed to be an indoor chill out area with things such as tv’s, pool tables as well as other games and stuff to do. Is Poker In Trouble In LV?

On January 18th the poker room at the newly renamed Linq Hotel closed adding to the list of the dozen or so poker rooms that have closed in Las Vegas in the last few years. The Linq Hotel Commercial

Above is a commercial for the new remodeled and rebranded Linq Hotel & Casino next to the Linq entertainment district on the center Strip. The commercial is interesting because it was made before the remodel on the Quad was finished so what you get is lots of views of the Linq entertainment district but not of the Linq Hotel & Casino.

The former Imperial Palace which as rebranded the Quad while the public areas where under construction has now opened under the new name called the Linq Hotel. The former name was okay but just not that exciting but the new name makes a lot more sense especially since the property is attached to the Linq entertainment district.
