Parking Charges On The Strip

MGM Resorts had announced that with the opening of the T Mobile Arena that they would start charging for parking at its nearby properties. The properties charging the fees are Bellagio, Aria, Vdara, New York New York and the soon to be rebranded Monte Carlo. The only way to avoid the charge is if you are have a Nevada driving license and are willing to have it scanned. Irish Celebration Starts Today At NYNY

The 17th annual Irish event in celebration of St Patrick’s day starts today at 4pm today on the Brooklyn bridge in front of New York New York. The event runs through Tuesday 17th which is St Patrick’s day with the things you would expect such as Irish food and entertainment as well as green beer and Irish theme cocktails. On the 17th there is a cover charge beginning at noon on the bridge but this does include a pint of Guinness or a shot of Jameson whiskey to help you get your celebration of Irishness started.

The former Sporting House space at New York New York which was make vacant back in June when the restaurant closed is soon to have two new restaurants open in its place; The new restaurants due to open by years end are ‘Tom’s Urban’ which last week had a job fair for 200 new employees and a New York import the ‘Shake Shack’ which was also hiring last week. The Sporting House Closes

The Sporting House bar at New York New York closed down this week with announcement that the 16,000 square foot space will be taken over by two restaurants the Shake Shack and Tom’s Urban by the end of the year most likely in December. The Sporting House space was known to many as the former ESPN Zone which was at the location for many years and was a good place to watch sports with its 130 high definition television, two of which had 16 foot screens. Hershey’s Chocolate World Opens

Yesterday was the grand opening of Hershey’s Chocolate World at New York New York on the Strip. The new 13,000 square foot two story store showcases the various Hershey products and does things like allowing guests to purchase personalized candy wrappers. Yes this new store does sound a lot like the nearby M&M World located near the MGM but if you like chocolate more choice can’t be a bad thing.
