I visited the Mandalay Bay location several years ago and, its a cool experience walking in to basically a big freezer surrounded by ice; The experience was cool no pun intended but i don’t know if I would try it again but as they are adding a third location it seems they are doing well.
If you want to visit one of the existing locations they are at the Mandalay Bay as well as the Canal Shoppes at the Venetian with the new location at the Linq due to open sometime in November.
Beauty Bar the popular bar in the East Fremont Entertainment District has closed after losing its liquor license after several issues which seemed to happen after new ownership took over the bar last year.
The bar was an early addition to East Fremont as they tried to change the area from having such things as a check cashing store, 7-11 and a dollar store that mainly served locals in to a area that would have bars and restaurants to attract tourists as well. Beauty Bar had been open since 2005 and they area does draw tourists from the Fremont Street Experience so the building won’t be vacant for long.

One new place getting a lot of attention is the opening of the The Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails at the Cosmopolitan in the space of the former Bond Bar on the casino floor. The barbershop is an old fashioned three stool barbershop providing services for men which seems to be the male alternative with the Drybar salon for women on the second floor. The grooming menu has various opens from classic to clean cut to wild and rebellious and worth checking out if you need a cut.
Behind a broom closet is a hidden Prohibition style speakeasy with live entertainment at night such as bands, Dj’s and karaoke on Tuesday nights. The prohibition style speakeasy bar is not a new thing to Las Vegas and has been done in downtown before as well as at the Cosmopolitan and people seem to like the theme so i’m sure it will be used again. I will check out the bar as soon as i can and maybe try out the aged whiskeys its another place to be added to the many new places for me and everyone to visit in Las Vegas.

The Silver Sevens is a off Strip resort that i don’t visit most trips to Las Vegas not that there is anything wrong with it because it does have a casino with high ceilings so no smoke issues and, it does offer great food specials its just not an area i stop at on most visits. There might be a new reason to add a stop there on my next trip as they have opened a new sports bar called Silver and Gold which is a Las Vegas Golden Knights themed bar. During Knights games the bar will have drink specials such as $7 pitchers of Bud or Bud Light as well as 77 cent bottles so i will check it out during a Knights game.

About a year ago I had written about Casino Royale on center strip ending their long running dollar beer special when they raised the price to $2 a bottle which was still a good deal. Now Casino Royale has raised the price to $3 on all bottled beer which is still a fair deal for the Strip although better deals can be found off strip or downtown. One plus about all the bottled beers being $3 is that Corona and Heineken which were formally $5 a bottle but our now $3 a bottle.
