High Speed Train To Las Vegas To Break Ground

Brightline Train Now Called Virgin Train USA

Brightline the company building the high speed train to Las Vegas from Southern California has announced that it will break ground by year end.

These kind of announcements have been made by many companies over the last fifteen or so years but in this case I think it will happen; Brightline unlike the other previous companies already has an operating system in South Florida.

Brightline also is building its own tracks in the Interstate right of way a lot of the way instead of dealing with the freight companies on their tracks.

I took Amtrak years ago from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and the six hour train ride would often take nine or ten hours because of freight train delays.

Like any project this size until it’s actually operating you have to be a little sceptical but this one looks like it’s going to happen and, if it does I will use the service.
