This year there is not a New Years Eve fireworks display on the Las Vegas Strip because of the current pandemic situation, although some of the Strip will still be closed for vehicle traffic.
Generally the Strip is closed from Sahara Av to Russell Road so the usual throngs of people can celebrate the New Years Eve as well as the fireworks in safety.

This year with no fireworks as well as smaller crowds part of the Strip will still be closed to vehicles but this year only from Spring Mountain Road to Russell Road.
There will still be a Metro police presence on the Strip albeit likely to be much smaller because of the smaller crowd size.
