MGM Resorts and their partners in City Center Dubai World have announced they have sold a two acre section of the property for $80 million. The piece of land was where the 50 story Harmon Hotel Condo Tower had been partially built before being torn down over construction issues.

The Harmon Hotel Condo Tower was the subject of many lawsuits after structural flaws were found in the partially built building so construction was stopped and, never restarted with the structure eventually torn down.

The new owners of the property have announced plans to build a many level complex with specialty retail as well as casual and fine dining restaurants. The expected sale is expected to close in June for the site which is at the corner of the Strip and Harmon Avenue across from the Cosmopolitan.
