Add two more Strip resorts to the list that are closing weekdays because of the slow demand caused by the pandemic.
The latest resorts added to that list are the Mirage and Mandalay Bay which will be closed Monday to Thursday nights starting next Monday.
The closure will last most likely until just before Christmas when they will likely open for that holiday and New Years. The time after Thanksgiving until Christmas is generally in a normal year a pretty slow time other than the occasional convention or event and, those are not happening so this makes sense.
The Mirage and Mandalay Bay join other Strip resorts closing during the week such as Encore and Palazzo as well as the Park MGM.
This announced happened before the Governor announced capacity reductions to 25 percent from 50 percent for all casinos, restaurants and bars.
