Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza downtown has always been a good option for perfectly aged steaks which are cooked over a 600 degree grill. During the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo they have added three special menu items just for the event; The first braised short ribs over country grits with fried onions, the second is a slow roasted prime rib with loaded mashed potatoes and green beans and finally a Whiskey BBQ glazed sirloin steak with baked potato and brussel sprouts for $35 each. If you get there early request a window seat so you can see the Fremont Street Experience canopy, the street itself has been obscured by a stage but you can still see the canopy. Reservations for dinner as most places are recommended especially with the big crowds in town and can be made at the website or by calling (702) 386-7227.
