Resorts World had aid they would open in Summer 2021 and it looks like they will with a grand opening now announced for June 24th. The new $4.3 billion 3,500 room north Strip resort will be 95 percent operational on opening day according to a Resorts World spokesperson.

The new resort will also include 70,000 square feet of retail space as well as 40 food and beverage outlets as well a 5,000 seater theater that will open later in the Fall. The new resort is the first new one since Cosmopolitan opened in 2010 and will open ahead of the all important Independence Day weekend.

The opening of Resorts World is a big deal for Las Vegas as the city tries to get back to more normal times after the pandemic. Resorts World will be a big boost for the north end of the Strip and, should also help the nearby Sahara resort as that part of the Strip will get more traffic.
