It has been announced that the yearly Las Vegas USA Sevens Rugby Tournament is to remain in Las Vegas for at least four more years with the signing of a new deal. The event held at Sam Boyd Stadium features international teams in a quicker paced format and with less players on the field than standard rugby there is a lot more open field so players move down the field quicker. I used to watch the USA Sevens when it was at its previous home at the Carson Center in Southern California and it was always a fun event to attend. As part of the renewal in Las Vegas, the Sam Boyd Stadium field has to be widen to meet the official rugby specifications which will require the removal of 800 seats before the next tournament which is March 4th to 6th of 2016.
