The popular prime rib deal at El Cortez’s restaurant Siegl’s 1941 has seen a price increase with the price being raised by $2 to $12.95 which is one of the better deals in town and does have the advantage over many other similar deals in that its available twenty four hours today. The deal has been going for years and although the price has increased over time its still worth checking out especially as the other prime rib deals Downtown are only between certain hours or late night.

In an interesting move the El Cortez in Downtown Las Vegas has announced deals with local restaurants in the area so now players can redeem their club points towards their meals. While its not unusual for players cards to offer the ability to use comps points at in house restaurants such as the buffets, redeeming points at an external restaurant is a new option.

The local restaurants you can use your El Cortez players card points at include Rachel’s Kitchen, Taqueria El Buen Paster and Eurekat for more information talk to the El Cortez players club.

Naked City Pizza Coming Downtown

Naked City Pizza has announced they are adding a location in Downtown Las Vegas inside the El Cortez which will be the first casino location for the company. Naked City Pizza will take over the space formerly used by Pizza Lotto, an opening date hasn’t been announced although early next year would most likely.

Flag Day Special At El Cortez

Free Strawberry Pie Today

Today free pie returns to the El Cortez downtown with free slices of Marie Callender’s strawberry pie to players in their casino from noon until 6 pm. Over the last few years the El Cortez has run many free food specials for the players in the casino with free pie as well as the often run White Castle burger promotions to name just two of them; so if you are downtown today it might be worth stopping by the El Cortez.

Game Side Dining At El Cortez

The El Cortez has a service i’m not quite sure about, its called Gambling Gourmet where during the hours of 7:30 am and 10:30 pm they bring your food and drinks right too you at your slot machine or table game. I have seen this in action where they wheel a cart full of food next to players in the casino so they could continue playing without stopping to get up to eat. I could see ordering maybe an egg sandwich for breakfast or maybe a different type of sandwich for lunch but i have seen people eat full meals at their slot machine with knifes and forks. In my case i use going to get food as a break from the gambling especially if i’m not doing well so i cannot see using this service but the El Cortez has had it for a while so i guess it does get used enough. Myself I would rather see them come by with hot towels, free coffee or free finger sandwiches like Slots Of Fun used to in days past but for now i guess i will have to make do with packages of crackers left over from my shrimp cocktail oh well.
