If you miss the $1 Michelob beer special at the Casino Royale on the Strip which is still a good deal at the price now of $2 a bottle, but you can still get the old deal just off the Strip;
To get the deal head over to the Stage Door Bar which is located behind the Cromwell and across the street from Bally’s. The bar is just your basic small bar with slots but if you need a break from the expensive Strip drink prices their is an option not too far away. When you enter the bar they will card everyone so don’t forget to bring your id or passport.
While you are checking out the $1 Michelob beer special you might want to stock up on supplies at the attached convenience store which is less expensive option than the hotel stores.

Food Network celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis brings her restaurant magic to Caesar’s Palace next weekend with the opening of her follow up restaurant Pronto. Her first restaurant in Las Vegas called Giada at the Cromwell has been popular ever since it opened so no doubt the new restaurant will do well. The restaurant will feature her signature California inspired Italian food with breakfast sandwiches, paninis, antipasti, salads, sandwiches as well as her famous lemon ricotta cookies with deserts such as sorbet to and gelato.
The Cromwell is one of the smaller properties on the Strip and up until now other than the popular Giada restaurant didn’t really have a good food options other than bar or club food; The new food option is a quick service counter called Eatwell which is located just off the north side of the casino floor. Eatwell serves beautiful deserts as well as grab and go food items as sandwiches which are each priced around $11 each. Eatwell also has a menu of Starbucks drinks so I’m sure this will be a busy place every morning.
The popular and often busy Giada at the Cromwell starting today has added weekend brunch service with brunch being served from 8am until 2:30pm every weekend. The restaurant is the first restaurant of Food Network alum Glada De Laurentiis and, often gets good reviews for its food although I would recommend getting a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment especially on the weekends. The new brunch menu includes signature items such the Italian Chicken & Waffle as well as the Lobster Hash with available a la carte or $45 for a prix-fixe option. If you want to add limitless mimosas to the mix that will add $30 to your bill but the other usual drinks are available as well.
The Cromwell the boutique hotel that was created out of the shell of the former Bills Gamblin Hall & Saloon shows off its new commercial above in a style very much like the Cosmopolitan.
The above video shows Victor Drai showing off his stunning new beach and night club atop the Cromwell at the site of the former Bills. The day club part of the club especially the curtains on the cabanas look very much like the Encore Beach Club but thats not a bad thing as that club has been successful. Drai’s nightclub has been a longtime fixture here and with the addition of a day club in such a prime location on the Strip should do well.
There are rumors that the former Bills Gamblin Hall & Saloon may reopen today at 4pm as The Cromwell with a soft opening. The rumors would seem to make sense as a lot of the property seems to be done although we don’t expect Giada’s restaurant or Drai’s rooftop pool and club to open, as work still needs to be done on them. The planned grand opening of The Cromwell is a month away on May 21st and at that time we should get a complete view of what’s looking to be a promising property.
