British sports book company William Hill has been on a bit of a roll recently as it has steadily expanded it’s Las Vegas footprint.
William Hill has announced that it has come to an agreement to purchase CG Technology’s sports book assets in Las Vegas and the Bahamas. The deal is subject to regulatory approval in both places but once approved William Hill will a greatly enhanced portfolio of sports books in Las Vegas.
Through leases the company will add sports book locations at The Venetian, Palazzo, Tropicana, Cosmopolitan, Palms and the Silverton.
The new locations will add to the existing William Hill locations in Las Vegas at the Stratosphere, Plaza. M Resort, Silver Sevens Arizona Charlie’s and Jerry’s Nugget.
In the past the major casinos would operate their own sports books and smaller casinos would partner with larger ones. Now big international betting companies are taking over many Las Vegas sports books and running them which can be good or bad depending on your opinion of chain operators as opposed to the casino’s themselves.
